The operation 'Milap' is being vigorously pursued by Delhi Police

-SPECIAL DRIVE/OPERATION “MILAP” LAUNCHED BY CRIME BRANCH BEING PURSUED SINCERELY.

-9 MORE CHILDREN STAYING IN CHILDREN HOMES RESTORED/LINKED TO THE RESPECTIVE FAMILIES.

-TOTAL 44 CHILDREN RESCUED WITHIN A SHORT SPAN OF THREE WEEKS OF LAUNCH OF THE OPERATION.

-PARENTS OVERJOYED AFTER BEING UNITED WITH THEIR CHILDREN.

INTRODUCTION

Launching a special drive to link missing children with the parents, Crime Branch has succeeded in restoring nine more childrenstaying in Children Homes of Delhi to the respective families. This special drive has been launched to check all the Children Homes in Delhi for matching their records with the available data of missing/kidnapped children and has been named as operation “Milap”. Several teams have been constituted in Crime Branch for linking such children staying in the Children Homes. Total 44children rescued within a short span of three weeks since the launch of the operation.

During this special drive, Crime Branch officials check each and every child in the Children Homes and make all out efforts to get any clue about their parents/home so that they can be restored properly. Further, local police of all districts of Delhi is being asked to screen and document all the children residing in the shelter homes, railway platforms, bus stands, roads, religious places, etc. Their photographs are being taken by the concerned police officials and documentation will be undertaken to link them properly.

TEAM AND OPERATION

Team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (Crime) led and guided by Addl.CP Ashok Chand and DCP Dinesh Kumar Gupta and consisting of ACP Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, Inspectors Vipin Bhatia, Kishore Pandey, ASIs Ashok and Ramesh Kumar have been checking the Children Homes of Delhi. The teams visited the Children Homes and checked the available record. On scrutiny of the records, the police officers zeroed down on the children whose details were incomplete or sketchy. These children were taken into confidence and after compassionate persuasive conversation; they revealed clues about their native places. On the basis of the minor clues and details provided by them, their parents were contacted and linked 08 children as per the details mentioned below-

1. A boy, aged 13 years staying at 'Salaam Balak Trust, DMRC' Children Home near Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi since 04-12-14 revealed his father’s name and also his native Distt. Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. On this information, the team immediately contacted his father through local Police and the boy has been handed over to his father through Children Welfare Committee (CWC). It was revealed that the child had left home many a times because he is not interested in studies.

2. A boy, aged 17 years staying since 15-12-14 at 'Salaam Balak Trust' Children Home revealed his deceased parent’s name and his home address of Karnal, Haryana. The police team traced his family in Karnal with the help of local police. His uncle stated that his nephew had fellen into bad company and he has been running away many a times. He further provided the address of his paternal aunt (Bua) and the child has been handed over to her by the CWC.

3. A boy, aged 11 years staying at 'Salaam Balak Trust, DMRC’Children Home since 04-12-14 revealed his father’s name and address of JJ Colony, Jahangir Puri, Delhi. On this information, the team traced his family. His grandmother identified the child and told that the boy is bad mannered and had fled from home many a times. They have refused to take custody of the child since his father has expired and the mother is preoccupied with another small baby.

4. A boy, aged 13 years staying at 'Prayas' Children Home, Jahangir Puri, Delhi since 23-12-14 revealed his father’s name and address of Azadpur, Delhi. On this information, the team traced his mother in Azadpur, Delhi and the boy has been handed over to her through CWC. It was revealed that the child had left the house many a times for not having any interest in studies.

5. A boy, aged 10 years staying at 'Prayas' Children Home since 31-12-14 revealed his father’s name and address of Noori Masjid, Delhi. On this information, the team matched the information at ZIPNET. In this regard, a case FIR No. 3/15 dated 1.01.15 u/s 363 IPC, was found lodged at P.S. Bhalaswa. The child has been identified by his father and the concerned Police Station has been informed accordingly. The boy had lost his way on 29.12.2014. The boy will be handed over to the parents through Children Welfare Committee (CWC).

6. A boy, aged 17 years staying at 'Prayas' Children Home since 15-09-14 revealed his father’s name and address of Distt. Mujaffarpur,Bihar. On this information, the team contacted his family through local police at Bihar. His father arrived in Delhi and the boy has been handed over to him through CWC. It was revealed that the child had left home two years ago and came to Delhi searching for a job.

7. A boy, aged 14 years staying at 'Prayas' Children Home since 15.12.14 revealed his father's name and address of JJ ColonymBawana,Delhi. On this information, the team traced his father and the boy has been handed over to him through CWC. It was revealed that the child had earlier left home many a times due to his bad company.


8. A boy, aged 16 years staying at 'Salaam Balak Trust, DMRC' since 8.12.14 revealed his father’s name and address near Dhaba in Sunder Nagri, Delhi. On this information, the team immediately contacted his father, and the boy has been handed over to his father through CWC. It was revealed that the child had left home in search of a job.

        A team of Central Range led by Inspr.Devender Kumar comprising Sis Ved Prakash, Virender, Davinder, Virendra Tyagi, ASI Jaswinder Singh, HCs Sanjay Tyagi, Vikram, Virendra, Naresh, Cts Surya Prakash, Santosh, Vipin Kumar, Harendra, Shahdev, Lalit Tyagi, Rajesh, Manish Kumar and W/Ct Sarvjeet Kaur under the supervision of ACP Sukhvinder Singht traced 14 years old son of a resident of Sangam Vihar, Delhi in Salam Balak Trust, Children Home. The boy went missing from his home since November, 2014 and was sent to the Children Home on 10.11.14 when he was found loitering in at New Delhi Railway Station.
