The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested seven private persons, including three impersonators (2 students of IIT, Delhi and one System Engineer of Hyderabaad-based private company) from an Institute of Govindpuram, Ghaziabad,UP A case was registered under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Corruption Act and Information Technology, on the allegations that the said persons were impersonating in the Nationalised Banks Clerical Examination which was being conducted on-line by the Mumbai-based Institute. Searches were conducted which led to recovery of cash of Rs.6.5 lakh(approx) from one of the arrested accused persons which was allegedly meant to be paid to one of the impersonators and other incriminating documents/materials. All the seven arrested accused were produced before the Competent Court at Ghaziabad. Two accused were granted four days police custody and other five were sent to Judicial Custody. |
