New Delhi, On 09.12.2014, CISF surveillance staff received a specific input that a passenger namely Shoukath Chellanakath (aged 31 yrs), PP No. J2674029, R/O XI/392, Chellankath House, Beack  Road, Puthiyadi , Distt- Kannur (kerala) coming from Kuwait by flight No. KU381 at 0354 hrs is coming with the gold. Accordingly, CISF team was alerted to apprehend the said passenger and details of the passenger were shared with each member of the team. At about 0420 hrs, the passenger at the airport managed to cross the custom area of terminal-3. He was apprehended and brought back at arrival custom area by the CISF surveillance staff. He was checked in the presence of Custom Officials. During checking, 3.5 kg gold (03 pieces of 1kg and 01 piece of 500 gm) were recovered from his possession. He had concealed the gold in his shoes.

        He was handed over by CISF to Customs Officials with the recovered gold for further action.
