CBI ARRESTS A PRIVATE PERSON FOR ALLEGEDLY POSSESSION OF FICNS OF FACE VALUE OF RS.4.98 LAKHS (APPROX)
            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a private person of Muzaffarpur (Bihar) for allegedly possession of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICNs) of face value of Rs.4.98 lakhs (approx.).

  Earlier on 24.09.2014, another private person of Malda (West Bengal) was arrested by CBI for allegedly possession of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICNs) of face value of Rs.Five Lakhs (approx.). CBI intercepted him in running train Falaknuma Express between Kharagpur and Balasore Railway Stations (West Bengal) and recovered FICNs having face value of Rs.Five Lakhs (approx.) from his possession. The recovered FICNs were all in denomination of Rs.1000/- notes. The intercepted person was allegedly going to Vijaywada for delivery of seized FICNs to some unknown person at Hyderabad.

            A case was registered U/s 120 B r/w 489 B and 489 C of IPC. CBI intercepted one person at Malda Railway Station (West Bengal) on 28.09.2014 and recovered FICNs having face value of Rs.4.98 lakhs (approx.) from his possession. The recovered FICNs are all in denomination of Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- notes. It is alleged that the intercepted person was coming from Muzaffarpur for delivery of seized FICNs to some unknown person at Malda.

            The arrested accused is being produced today before the Court of CJM, Malda (West Bengal).
