Legendary former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam interacted with the schoolchildren of CRPF Public School, Dwarka today. The event was marked with knowledge and benevolent guidance by no less an eminent scholar than Dr Kalam himself. He took a keen interest in interacting with the students. He shared his personal experience with the students and answered their queries on various subjects, including his personal life. He
told the august gathering that Ignited minds of the youth is the most powerful
resource on the earth, above the earth and below the earth. On being asked by
a student as to who was his idol in his childhood, he named his class V
teacher, Sh Shiva Subramania Iyer as
his idol till now. He said that seeing the Seagulls flying above the sea, when
he was a child, inspired him to become a rocket scientist. He also advised the
children to have four qualities, if they want to become scientists – asking
questions, acquiring knowledge, working hard and having perseverance. He also
stressed upon strengthening the primary education system of the country. A
small cultural programme was presented by the children of CRPF Public School,
Dwarka. Dr. Kalam presented books to Smt. Meenu Tiwari, Principal for library
of CRPF Public School, Dwarka. Smt. Suneeta Trivedi, President CWA presented
him a sapling, whereas Dr. A.P.Maheshwari, IG Northern Sector CRPF presented a painting
and the Principal presented an artwork by a student of Class X. On this occasion, Mahila Pipe Band of CRPF put
up a splendid show which was appreciated by
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. |
