On 16.09.2014, one person along with NGO ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ came to Police Station Anand Vihar.  He informed that his daughter, aged 15 years had been kidnapped from her residence i.e. West Bengal on 03.01.2014.  Despite best efforts, the girl could not be traced.  He further added that he received a call from her daughter on 05.09.2014 from a landline number from Delhi.  She told him that she was confined in a house and facing atrocities.   A team comprising of SI Mukesh Yadav, W/SI Shweta Sharma, W/Ct. Rakesh under the supervision of Sh. Ganjender Singh, SHO/Anand Vihar was immediately constituted.  The team raided a house in Surya Niketan, Anand Vihar, Delhi and the girl was rescued from there.

  During the course of investigation the girl disclosed that she met with a person Rashid (name changed) in November, 2013 in West Bengal.  He lured her to go with him to Delhi on the promise of marriage and a better life. Rashid brought her to his uncle, who was an agent of a placement agency.   Rashid and his uncle accompanied the girl to Delhi.  The girl was accommodated in a hostel of the placement agency at Chirag Delhi.  She stayed there for about 08 days.  During this period, she was raped by Rashid.  Jahangir, uncle of Rashid, owner of placement agency and her employer were arrested on 18.09.2014.  A case for kidnapping, trafficking, rape and POCSO has been registered.

   Rashid and Jahangir used to lure the girls from West Bengal on the pretext of arranging jobs in Delhi with lucrative incentives.  They handed over the girls to the owner of placement agency who sent them to the homes at a meager salary.  The owner of placement agency paid them Rs.3000 to 5000/- per girl.
