Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has carved another niche in three different incidents
after engaging in intensive offences against Maoists in jungles of Jharkhand
and Chhattisgarh in utter disregard to adverse hot weather.
In an offensive strike in Pakaratoli forest area, under PS Palkot, District Gumla on June 17 th, CRPF and Gumla police apprehended 11 PLFI cadres including dreaded Sub- Zonal commander Rajan Ji and recovered 11 weapons form them.
Five days long operation was launched by CoBRA of CRPF and JJ on 18/06/2014 after getting intelligence inputs about movement of a large group of Maoists in the area of PS Kisko, District Lohardagga, Jharkhand .
Same day On 18/06/2014, a mini gun factory was unearthed by CRPF in the jungles of Simdega near village Helgara ,PS Bano .Hundreds of semi fabricated Country made weapons, spare parts, machines and tools were discovered. This gun factory was being run by the PLFI , a splinter group of CPI maoists involved in large scale violence in Simdega and Khunti districts.
On 19/6/14 during the intensive search, 23 grenades and 3 pressure cooker IEDs were recovered by CoBRA troops in jungle area near village Kauwadanr, under PS Kisko,District Lohardagga.
Today on 21/6/2014, 125 IEDs were recovered by CoBRA troops in jungle near village Madanpur .These IEDs were planted on the Kachha track in series covering a distance of 1.5 Kms . Had the troops not been alert and moving on the track all of them would have been blown off in simultaneous IED blasts trigged by a single press of switch.
This place is barely 21 km away from Hurmur where 86 simultaneous IED blasts took place on 3/5/2011 in which 11 SF personnel were martyred and 52 others injured. |
