Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh on his visit to the tribal district of Lahaul & Spiti inspected the 2 MW Rong-Tong Power project, situated at an elevation of 3600 meters and one of the highest in the world. He directed the authorities to overcome the repairs soon. Later he visited the Dhankar Monastery yesterday late in the evening and directed for speeding up the on-going construction work. The Chief Minister paid visit to Lari village in Spiti and monitored the ongoing construction work of Jawahar Navoday Vidalaya. He said that it was an important educational institution coming up in the valley but the work was going on at a snails pace, adding that he would take up the matter with the Union Government and would personally urge them to get the construction work done as soon as possible. Shri Virbhadra Singh also visited the famous Tabo Monastery and inspected the on-going renovation works and listened to the grievances of the people. Shri Ravi Thakur MLA Lahaul and Spiti, Smt Pratibha Singh former Member of Parliament, Shri Jagat Singh Negi, Deputy Speaker, H.P.
