The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Saket Courts, New Delhi has convicted Shri D.K.Srivastava, then Deputy Legal Advisor(DLA), CBI, ACB, Delhi in a bribery case and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.One Lakh U/s 7 of P.C.Act and three years Rigorous Imprisonment U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the P.C.Act with fine of Rs. One Lakh. CBI had registered a case on 11.05.2006 on a complaint against Shri D.K.Srivastava, the then DLA, CBI, ACB, Delhi alleging that he demanded a bribe of Rs. Four Lakhs from the complainant to show favour in the enquiry registered at ACB, CBI, Delhi. A trap was laid by CBI and the accused was caught red-handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. Four Lakhs from the complainant. On conclusion of investigation, the charge sheet was filed in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases on 11.07.2006 U/s 7 r/w 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, 1988. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him U/s 7 r/w 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, 1988 on 11.11.2013. |
